FAQ

Questions. Answered.

What is a break even point?

It's the number of sales where your money in matches your money out. Below it you lose money each month. Above it, every sale adds profit. Knowing it tells you the least you need to sell, and how much room you have.

How do I work out my break even point?

Take your price and subtract what each sale costs you, like parts or stock. That's your profit per sale. Split your fixed monthly costs, like rent and wages, by that number. The calculator does it as you type.

What counts as a fixed cost?

Costs you pay each month no matter how much you sell: rent, wages, insurance, software, loan payments and your marketing. Costs that go up with each sale, like materials or card fees, go in the cost per sale box instead.

How can I lower my break even point?

Raise your price, lower what each sale costs, or cut fixed costs. A small price rise often moves it most, because all of it is profit. Our markup calculator shows what a new price does to your margin.

How do I get past break even faster?

More of the right people finding you, and fewer leads going cold. Havstock Unlimited runs your ads, SEO and follow-up each month, so more enquiries turn into sales past your break even line.
