The GoHighLevel affiliate program pays you 40% of what each customer you refer pays GoHighLevel, every month they stay a paying customer. It also pays 5% on paying agencies that your referrals bring in. Payouts go out on the 15th of each month through Tipalti, once you have at least $50. We are a GoHighLevel affiliate ourselves, so this post carries our link. Every fact below was checked on GoHighLevel's own pages on 18 October 2026.
The short answer
Anyone can apply, customer or not. You earn 40% recurring on direct referrals and 5% on the second tier. Credit goes to the last affiliate link clicked within 90 days. You are paid monthly on the 15th, with a $50 minimum. It pays well if you have an audience of agency owners or marketers. With no audience, it is slow.
How much does the GoHighLevel affiliate program pay?
40% of the plan price, every month the customer keeps paying. GoHighLevel's affiliate page says "40% recurring commissions", and its affiliate agreement sets the rates at 40% for direct referrals and 5% for second-tier referrals, on its listed recurring products.
Here is what 40% comes to on each plan, using the prices on GoHighLevel's pricing page, checked 18 October 2026:
| Plan | Customer pays | You earn each month (40%) |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97 a month | $38.80 |
| Unlimited | $297 a month | $118.80 |
| Agency Pro | $497 a month | $198.80 |
The Unlimited figure is the one GoHighLevel uses as its own example: a referral on the $297 plan earns you $118.80 a month while they stay. The other two rows are the same 40% maths.
Two things to know before you count on it. The agreement names "listed recurring products", so do not plan on commission from usage charges like texts or calls. And if a customer cancels, gets a refund or disputes the charge, GoHighLevel can take that amount back out of your future commission. It can do the same for commission it already paid.
For what each plan actually includes, see our GoHighLevel pricing breakdown.
What is the second tier?
You earn an extra 5% on agencies signed up by someone you referred. GoHighLevel's help article says the 5% is monthly and recurring, for each paying agency that your referral brings in. It only counts while that agency pays.
How do you join the GoHighLevel affiliate program?
If you have a GoHighLevel agency account, you already have a link. If you do not, you apply. GoHighLevel's affiliate page lays out three steps: apply and get instant access to your affiliate dashboard, share your link, earn 40% recurring.
If you are a customer: agency accounts are "automatically given a unique affiliate link" at sign-up, says GoHighLevel's Affiliate Portal guide. In Agency View, click Affiliate Portal in the left menu.
If you are not a customer: GoHighLevel's help center says non-customers register through FirstPromoter, the tool that runs the program. To get paid, you then email affiliatepayments@gohighlevel.com for a Tipalti setup link.
Not on GoHighLevel yet, and want to use it before you promote it? Our special link gets you a 30-day free trial of GoHighLevel (we may earn a commission from this link) plus a free live bootcamp. Sign up on GoHighLevel's own site and you get the standard 14 days, with no bootcamp. Using the product first makes you a far more believable affiliate.
Set your referral code on day one
Do this before you share a single link. In the portal, open the HighLevel Affiliates Program campaign and click Customize Token to pick an easy referral ID. GoHighLevel's guide warns that links you shared before the change stop working. You can also add SubIDs to one link to see which channel sends the clicks.
When and how do GoHighLevel affiliates get paid?
On the 15th of each month, for the commission you earned the month before. GoHighLevel's payouts article (Affiliate Payouts: Where, How, When Can I Get Paid?, last updated 27 April 2026) sets out the rules:
| Rule | What it says |
|---|---|
| Pay day | The 15th, for last month's commission |
| Minimum | $50. Less than that rolls over to next month |
| Payment system | Tipalti only |
| US options | Direct deposit, PayPal or debit card |
| Outside the US | ACH transfer, PayPal or debit card |
| Arrival | 1 to 3 days after it shows as submitted |
The affiliate agreement (last updated June 2026) adds one rule people miss. If your balance does not reach $50 within 120 days, the unpaid amount may be forfeited.
Set up Tipalti early. Customers do it in the Affiliate Portal under Payment Details. It is a three-step form where you pick how you get paid and fill in tax forms. GoHighLevel's help center also has a guide to the 1099 tax form for US affiliates.
How long does the referral credit last?
The last affiliate link clicked wins, inside a 90-day window. That comes from the affiliate agreement, which says credit is decided "on a last-click basis within a 90-day window." Requests to change who gets credit, made more than 90 days after sign-up, are turned down.
What that means in practice:
- Last click wins. If your reader clicks your link, then someone else's link later, the other affiliate gets the customer.
- A trial is not a sale. Commission starts when the referral becomes a paying customer, not when they start the free trial.
- It lasts while they pay. There is no end date on the commission. But once a customer cancels, they stop counting as yours 30 days after the cancellation date.
In the portal's Referrals tab, each person shows as trial, paying customer or cancelled, so you can see who is still earning for you.
A free trial earns you nothing. The commission starts on the referral's first paid month and stops when they leave.
What rules can cost you your commission?
GoHighLevel checks affiliate content with a tool called Integrishield. Its help article (Integrishield and Affiliate Content Compliance) lists what gets flagged:
- No clear, visible disclosure that you are a GoHighLevel affiliate.
- Discounts, promos or coupons GoHighLevel has not approved.
- Aggressive or inflammatory wording.
- Comparisons with competitors.
- Trademarks that are not approved.
- Claims about the software's results that are not approved.
If you are flagged, you have 5 business days to fix the content. Ignore the warning and you may lose your right to commission. The agreement also says you must follow the US FTC's endorsement rules.
That is why every GoHighLevel link on this blog has a short note right after the first one: "we may earn a commission from this link". It is the FTC's rule, and it keeps us clear of a flag.
Watch out for self-referrals too. GoHighLevel's payouts article says FirstPromoter flags them on its own, by a shared IP address, name, email or phone number. Flagged payments sit as pending. Do not sign yourself or your own business up through your link.
Is the GoHighLevel affiliate program worth it?
Yes, if you already reach people who might buy GoHighLevel. No, if you plan to build that audience from nothing just for the commission. The 40% is generous and it repeats every month. But you only earn while customers stay, and refunds come back out.
The maths is simple. Ten customers on Unlimited is 10 times $118.80, or $1,188 a month, but only while all ten keep paying. That is a sum, not a promise. Most people who click will not buy.
GoHighLevel also has a top tier called Affiliate Commander. Its help article says you need at least $100,000 a year in affiliate commission to qualify. The year runs from 1 September and resets each year, so it is not a lifetime rank.
It suits you if:
- You run a marketing agency and already move clients onto GoHighLevel.
- You teach marketing, run a community, or make videos or posts for agency owners.
- You use the product daily and can show real builds.
It will not suit you if: you have no audience and no clients, and hope a link alone will sell. GoHighLevel is a monthly tool with a lot to learn. Someone who signs up on hype and cancels in month two earns you very little.
We earn from this program through posts like this one. We will not share income figures, ours or anyone's, because we cannot show them to you. If you want to judge GoHighLevel first, read our honest GoHighLevel review.
Which affiliate link should you use to buy GoHighLevel?
The plan price is the same through any link. What changes is the trial and any extras. The commission comes out of what GoHighLevel earns, it is not added to your bill.
Here is the honest difference with ours. Our special link gets you a 30-day free trial and a free live bootcamp. The bootcamp is a live, one-hour Zoom class that walks you through setup click by click, per GoHighLevel's bootcamp page. Sign up on GoHighLevel's own site and you get the standard 14 days, with no bootcamp. More on how the trial works in our GoHighLevel free trial guide.
How do you run your own affiliate program in GoHighLevel?
Use Affiliate Manager. This is a different thing from the HighLevel affiliate program. It lets you pay other people to promote your own business, and some searches for "GoHighLevel affiliate program" are really about it.
GoHighLevel's article How does the Affiliate Manager work? (last updated 25 September 2026) says it can:
- Track leads and sales that your affiliates send.
- Pay per lead, for a form, a survey or a booked call.
- Pay per sale, as a flat amount or a percentage, including on recurring charges.
- Pay out automatically through PayPal, or by hand through Stripe, bank transfer, Wise or check, after you approve each payout.
- Give your affiliates a portal with their links, leads, customers, commission and payouts.
If you sell a course, coaching or a service, this gives you a sales team you only pay when it brings in a lead or a sale. Start with one campaign and one product.
GoHighLevel is the tool. Someone still has to do the work: set up the campaigns, the pages and the follow-up, and keep them running. If you would rather hand that part over, see how Havstock Unlimited works. That build is part of our CRM and automations work.
FAQ
Do you need a GoHighLevel account to be an affiliate?
No. GoHighLevel's help center says people who are not customers can register through FirstPromoter. Agency customers get a link automatically and find it under Affiliate Portal in the left menu. Non-customers email affiliatepayments@gohighlevel.com to set up Tipalti, so they can get paid. Using the product first still helps you sell it.
How much does a GoHighLevel affiliate make?
It depends on how many paying customers you refer and how long they stay. Each one earns you 40% of their plan: $38.80 a month on Starter, $118.80 on Unlimited, $198.80 on Agency Pro, at prices checked 18 October 2026. We do not publish anyone's earnings, because we cannot show them.
When does GoHighLevel pay affiliates?
On the 15th of each month, for the commission earned the month before. Payments go through Tipalti, and you need at least $50 owed before you are paid. GoHighLevel's affiliate agreement says a balance that does not reach $50 within 120 days may be forfeited. Money arrives 1 to 3 days after it is submitted.
What is the GoHighLevel affiliate cookie length?
GoHighLevel's pages do not state a cookie length. The affiliate agreement says credit goes to the last link clicked within a 90-day window. So if a reader clicks your link, then another affiliate's link, the later click wins. Requests to change credit more than 90 days after sign-up are denied.
Can you refer yourself to GoHighLevel?
Do not try. GoHighLevel's payouts article says FirstPromoter flags self-referrals automatically, by matching IP address, name, email or phone number. Flagged payments get stuck as pending. If you want your own account, sign up normally. Your link is for other people who choose GoHighLevel on your advice.
Does buying through an affiliate link cost more?
No. The plan prices are GoHighLevel's own prices, and the commission is paid by GoHighLevel from what it earns. What can differ is the trial and extras. Our special link gives a 30-day free trial and a free live bootcamp. GoHighLevel's own sign-up gives the standard 14 days.
That is the GoHighLevel affiliate program: 40% recurring, 5% on the second tier, last click within 90 days, and paid on the 15th once you pass $50. It rewards people who already help others choose software. If you want to try GoHighLevel before you promote it, our special link gets you a 30-day free trial of GoHighLevel and a free live bootcamp, instead of the standard 14 days.
