GoHighLevel pricing starts at $97 a month for the Starter plan, then $297 for Unlimited and $497 for Agency Pro. But the plan is not the whole bill. Texts, emails, phone numbers, text registration and AI all cost extra, paid from a wallet that tops itself up from your card. This guide shows every price, what a small business really pays each month, and where people get caught out.
The short answer
- Starter: $97 a month, or $970 a year. Enough for one business.
- Unlimited: $297 a month, or $2,970 a year. For agencies with many client accounts.
- Agency Pro: $497 a month, or $4,970 a year. Adds SaaS mode, so agencies can resell it.
- On top: usage fees. A solo owner sending 500 texts and 2,000 emails a month pays about $10 to $19 extra on our maths below.

GoHighLevel plans and prices
There are three plans with a price on them, and one you have to ask about. Every plan comes with unlimited contacts and unlimited users. All of them are month to month, with no contract, and you can cancel from the dashboard.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97 | $970 | 3 sub-accounts, all the core tools |
| Unlimited | $297 | $2,970 | Unlimited sub-accounts, resell phone and email at cost, basic API access |
| Agency Pro | $497 | $4,970 | SaaS mode, resell phone and email with a markup, advanced API access |
| Enterprise | Ask | Ask | Custom, through their sales team |
Annual billing is ten times the monthly price, so you get two months free. On our maths, that makes Starter about $80.83 a month.
A sub-account is one business inside GoHighLevel, with its own contacts, calendar, phone number and funnels. If you run one business, you need one. Starter gives you three, so you have room for a second brand or a test account.
If you are new to the platform, our guide to what GoHighLevel is and what it does covers the tools each plan includes.
Which plan does a small business need?
For one business, Starter is enough. The core tools are the same on every plan: the CRM, funnels and websites, email and texts, calendars, workflows, reviews, payments and the mobile app. The bigger plans add things for agencies, not extra features for your business.
Unlimited makes sense when you manage more than three businesses, or you want to charge clients for their own texts and emails at cost. Agency Pro is for agencies that want to sell GoHighLevel under their own brand as software, with a markup on usage.
We pay for Unlimited ourselves, at $297 a month. We run our own funnels and our website chat bot in GoHighLevel, and we build client systems in it too, so we need more than three accounts. A plumber or a dentist does not.
You can upgrade later. GoHighLevel charges only the difference for the rest of the month when you move up, so starting small costs you nothing if you outgrow it. If you want to test Starter first, our special link gives you a 30-day free trial of GoHighLevel plus a free live bootcamp (we may earn a commission from this link). Sign up on GoHighLevel's own site and you get the standard 14 days, with no bootcamp.
The costs on top of the plan
This is the part most pricing pages skip. GoHighLevel's own FAQ says the subscription covers the platform, but phone numbers, texts, emails and premium AI are charged by use.
Those charges come out of a wallet. You add a card, GoHighLevel keeps a small balance, and when it drops below your minimum, it charges your card again. Its terms say the top-up kicks in when the wallet falls below $10. Its phone FAQ even answers the question "I was billed $20 right away but haven't made any calls". That is the wallet filling up, not a mistake.
The plan price gets you in. The wallet is what you pay for actually talking to customers.
Texts and phone calls
GoHighLevel's phone system is called LC Phone. US and Canada prices, from the LC Phone pricing guide (modified 24 September 2026):
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Local phone number | $1.15 a month |
| Toll-free number | $2.15 a month |
| Text (SMS), sent or received | $0.00747 per segment |
| Carrier fee on each text sent | $0.0035 to $0.0050 per segment, by carrier |
| Picture message (MMS) sent | $0.0220 per segment |
| Outgoing call | $0.0166 a minute |
| Incoming call | $0.01165 a minute |
| Call recording | $0.0025 a minute |
| Call transcription | $0.024 a minute |
A segment is up to 160 plain characters. Add an emoji and a segment holds only 70 characters, so the same text can cost double (GoHighLevel, how to calculate SMS costs). Calls are billed in full minutes, so a 61-second call counts as two.
Text registration (A2P 10DLC)
To text US mobiles from a local number, US carriers make every business register its brand and what it texts about. GoHighLevel's help page is blunt: all businesses using LC Phone must register. The fees, from its A2P 10DLC fees page (modified 24 September 2026):
- One-time: $22.50 for most small businesses. $64 for high-volume senders.
- Monthly: $1.50 to $10.50 per campaign, depending on the type. Two GoHighLevel pages disagree on whether a 5% markup applies, which is why we give a range.
The fees start when you submit, even if the campaign is rejected. Resubmitting a rejected one has been free since 1 February 2026.
Email through GoHighLevel's own sending (LC Email) costs $0.675 per 1,000 emails on every plan (What is LC Email?). That is cheap. Two things surprise people. Incoming emails are billed too. And a new account starts with a daily limit of 250 emails, which rises over the first week, so you cannot send to a big list on day one.
WhatsApp costs $10 a month per sub-account, plus what Meta charges per message. For the US, Meta's rates in GoHighLevel's WhatsApp pricing guide are $0.0263 per marketing message and $0.0036 per utility message (rates to 30 September 2026). From 1 October 2026, normal replies to customers become billable after the first 1,000 per number each month. If WhatsApp is your main channel, check this page again.
What does GoHighLevel AI cost?
The AI tools are listed as core features on every plan, but using most of them costs money. You pick one of three ways to pay, per sub-account (AI Product Pricing, modified 25 September 2026):
| Option | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Pay per use | $0 a month | You pay for the AI's tokens on each reply. Review replies cost $0.01 each |
| AI Employee Growth | $50 a month | 1,000 chat bot replies and 100 voice minutes a month, then pay per use |
| AI Employee Unlimited | $97 a month | Unlimited chat, voice, review and content AI, under a fair use rule |
One catch on all three. If your bot replies by text or answers the phone, the text and call charges above still apply. GoHighLevel says phone charges apply "regardless of plan". The AI plan covers the thinking, not the phone line.
We run GoHighLevel's Conversation AI as the chat bot on our own homepage. It works, but it only earns its fee if you give it a tight prompt and a clean knowledge base. We wrote up what it does well and badly in our GoHighLevel Conversation AI review.
What a small business really pays each month
Here is a worked example using only the prices above. One US business on Starter, paying monthly. It sends 500 texts of one segment each and 2,000 emails a month. The low column uses the sole trader registration and the cheapest carrier fee. The high column uses a standard registration, the dearest carrier fee and the 5% markup.
| Cost | Low | High |
|---|---|---|
| Starter plan | $97.00 | $97.00 |
| Local phone number | $1.15 | $1.15 |
| Text registration, monthly | $2.00 | $10.50 |
| 500 texts | $3.74 | $3.74 |
| Carrier fees on 500 texts | $1.75 | $2.62 |
| 2,000 emails | $1.35 | $1.35 |
| Total a month | $106.99 | $116.36 |
Add the one-time $22.50 registration in your first paid month. Add $50 a month if you want the AI Employee Growth plan, which brings the total to about $157 to $166. Replies are not in this table, and incoming texts cost the same as outgoing ones.
So for most small businesses, the usage fees are small. The plan is the real cost. That is also why GoHighLevel only makes sense if you use a good chunk of it.
GoHighLevel pricing vs other tools
Is $97 a lot? Here is the cheapest plan of six tools owners often weigh up instead, from each tool's own pricing page, checked 27 September 2026. Prices are billed monthly unless the table says otherwise.
| Tool | Cheapest plan, a month | What that price covers | Texting built in | Funnels or website | Booking |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GoHighLevel | Starter, $97 | Unlimited contacts and users, 3 sub-accounts | Yes, pay per text | Yes | Yes |
| HubSpot | Starter, $10 per user (new-customer offer, normally $20) | 1 user, 1,000 marketing contacts | No, only as an add-on on Professional plans | Website and landing pages, up to 30 each | Yes |
| ClickFunnels | Launch, $97 | 2 team members, 10,000 contacts, 50,000 emails | No, needs your own Twilio or Bandwidth account | Yes | Yes |
| Keap | $299, plus a required $500 setup | 2 users, 1,500 contacts | Yes, 500 texts a month (marketing texts US only) | Landing pages and sales funnels | Yes |
| ActiveCampaign | Plus, $49 billed yearly (no monthly price shown) | 1 user, 1,000 contacts. Deal pipelines are a paid add-on | No, paid add-on | Landing pages only | No, connects to Calendly |
| Kartra | Essentials, $59 | 500 contacts, 10,000 emails, 5 pages, 5% fee on sales | No, needs the $229 Growth plan and your own gateway | Yes, 5 pages | Unclear on its page |
| Systeme.io | Free, then Startup at $17 | Free: 2,000 contacts. Startup: 5,000 contacts | No, needs your own Twilio account | Yes | Yes |
GoHighLevel is not the cheapest. Systeme.io is free to start, HubSpot starts at $10 a user on its current offer, and Kartra and ActiveCampaign start lower too.
It is the only one with no cap on the contacts you can market to on its cheapest plan. Every other tool in the table caps contacts at that price, and several charge per user. ActiveCampaign's Plus plan goes from $49 at 1,000 contacts to $145 at 5,000.
Texting is where the gap opens. On their cheapest plans, only GoHighLevel and Keap can text customers without a paid add-on, a bigger plan or an account with another company. For a trade or a clinic that lives on texts and calls, that matters more than the headline price. Keap does include texts, but starts at $299 a month plus a $500 setup fee.
GoHighLevel is not the cheapest tool. It is one of the cheapest ways to get texting, booking, funnels and a CRM in one place.
When another tool is the better buy
- HubSpot: a small team that wants a polished CRM for email and deals and does not text customers. Watch the limits: HubSpot says that if you go past Starter's limits, it moves you up to Professional, which starts at $1,300 a month.
- ClickFunnels: you sell online, live in funnels and checkouts, and do not need a phone line for customers.
- Keap: a US business with budget that wants a done-with-you setup and texting included.
- ActiveCampaign: email is your main channel, and booking and texting sit in other tools.
- Kartra: your business is courses, memberships and video, not calls and bookings.
- Systeme.io: you are a solo creator on a tight budget and need funnels, email and courses, not two-way texting.
We have gone deeper on the big three in GoHighLevel vs HubSpot, GoHighLevel vs ClickFunnels and GoHighLevel vs ActiveCampaign.
Add-ons you might pay for
Most businesses never need these. They are listed on the pricing page and in GoHighLevel's pricing guide, checked 27 September 2026:
| Add-on | Price |
|---|---|
| SEO tool (Search Atlas) | $79 a month per sub-account |
| Branded client portal app | $49 a month per sub-account |
| Dedicated email IP | $59 a month |
| HIPAA compliance | $297 a month, and cannot be turned off once bought |
| Premium support | $500 a month |
| White label mobile app | $497 a month |
If you run a US clinic, check whether you need HIPAA before you build. GoHighLevel says it cannot be cancelled or refunded once on.
Hidden costs people miss
None of these are secret. They are just easy to miss:
- Replies cost money. Incoming texts are billed at the same rate as outgoing ones. Incoming emails are billed too.
- Failed texts are not refunded. GoHighLevel charges for every text it tries to deliver.
- The trial is not fully free. The subscription is free during the trial, but texts, emails and numbers are charged from day one.
- Registration fees start on submit. A rejected text campaign still costs the one-time fee.
- Fees are not refundable. The terms of service (updated June 2026) say all fees are non-refundable, used or not.
- Add-ons stay on. Downgrading your plan does not cancel add-ons, apps or phone numbers. Cancel those one by one.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Sign up on GoHighLevel's own site and the standard trial is 14 days, on any plan. Our special link gets you a 30-day free trial instead, plus a free live bootcamp. Either way, you need a card to sign up. When the trial ends, GoHighLevel charges the card for the subscription unless you cancel first.
There is no official 60-day trial, and the terms say back-to-back trials can get you banned.
Is GoHighLevel worth the price?
For most small businesses, yes, if you use at least three of its tools. $97 a month buys a CRM, a funnel and website builder, email and text marketing, booking calendars, review requests, payments and automations in one login. Paying for those as separate tools usually costs more, and they do not talk to each other without extra work.
It will not suit you if you only want one thing. If all you need is a booking page or a newsletter, a single cheap tool is better value. And it has a learning curve. The plan price assumes you will set it up yourself, which takes real hours.
That is the part pricing pages never mention. GoHighLevel is the tool. Someone still has to build the funnels, write the texts, set up the automations and run the ads that send people into it. If you would rather hand that part over, see how Havstock Unlimited works. If you want to run it yourself, the rest of this blog shows how, starting with setting up missed call text back.

FAQ
How much does GoHighLevel cost per month?
GoHighLevel costs $97 a month for Starter, $297 for Unlimited and $497 for Agency Pro. Enterprise is priced on request. On top of the plan, you pay for texts, calls, emails, phone numbers, text registration and some AI use. For a small business sending a few hundred texts a month, that adds about $10 to $20.
How much is GoHighLevel a year?
Paid yearly, Starter is $970, Unlimited is $2,970 and Agency Pro is $4,970. That is ten months' price for twelve months, so you save two months. Usage fees are still charged separately as you use them, from the wallet on your account.
Is GoHighLevel free?
No. There is no free plan. There is a free trial: 14 days as standard, or 30 days plus a free live bootcamp through our special link. You need a card to start either one, and usage like texts and emails is charged during the trial. After it ends, your card is billed unless you cancel.
How much does GoHighLevel charge per text?
For the US and Canada, $0.00747 per segment for texts sent or received, plus a carrier fee of $0.0035 to $0.0050 on each text sent. A segment is up to 160 plain characters, or 70 with an emoji. You also pay $1.15 a month for a local number and a one-time $22.50 to register for texting.
How much does GoHighLevel AI cost?
You can pay per use, where you pay for the AI's tokens on each reply. Or pay $50 a month per sub-account for 1,000 bot replies and 100 voice minutes, or $97 a month for unlimited use under a fair use rule. Texts and calls the AI makes are charged on top.
Which GoHighLevel plan should I choose?
Pick Starter if you run one business. It has the same core tools as the bigger plans and room for three sub-accounts. Pick Unlimited if you manage more than three businesses. Pick Agency Pro only if you want to resell GoHighLevel as your own software. You can upgrade later and only pay the difference.
Is GoHighLevel cheaper than HubSpot or ClickFunnels?
GoHighLevel Starter is $97 a month, the same as ClickFunnels Launch. HubSpot Starter is cheaper at $10 per user on its current new-customer offer, normally $20. But HubSpot Starter has no texting and 1,000 marketing contacts, and ClickFunnels needs your own Twilio or Bandwidth account to text. GoHighLevel includes texting and unlimited contacts.
Can I get a refund from GoHighLevel?
Do not count on it. GoHighLevel's terms say all fees are non-refundable, including subscription fees and usage, whether you used the account or not. It may refund at its own choice. The safe move is to cancel before your trial ends if you do not want to keep it.
GoHighLevel pricing is simple at the top and fiddly underneath. The plan is $97, $297 or $497 a month. The usage fees are small for most businesses, as long as you know they are there. Try it on the 30-day free trial, keep an eye on the wallet, and decide once you have built something real.
