The GoHighLevel free trial lasts 14 days if you sign up on its own site, or 30 days through our special link. Both ask for a card. The subscription is free while you test, but texts, emails and phone numbers are charged from day one, and your card is billed when the trial ends unless you cancel. Here is how each trial works, how to get the 30 days, and how to use them well.

The short answer

  • Standard trial: 14 days, on any plan, if you sign up on GoHighLevel's own site. No extras.
  • Our special link: 30 days, plus a free live bootcamp. Start the 30-day free trial here (we may earn a commission from this link).
  • Card: needed for both.
  • After the trial: your card is charged for the subscription unless you cancel first. Fees are not refundable.
  • 60 days: there is no official 60-day trial.

Everything here was checked on GoHighLevel's own pages on 27 September 2026.

How long is the GoHighLevel free trial?

It depends where you sign up.

The pricing page puts it plainly: "Start with a FREE 14-day trial on any plan below". It also says you get full access to the features of the plan you choose, so you can build funnels and test automations before you pay.

The 30-day version comes through our special link. It opens GoHighLevel's bootcamp page, whose headline says you get 30 days free plus a free live bootcamp to launch together. Go to GoHighLevel's site on your own and you get the standard 14 days, with no bootcamp.

How to get the 30-day free trial

  1. Open our special link. It takes you to GoHighLevel's bootcamp page, hosted by GoHighLevel.
  2. Step 1 asks for your name, business name, email and phone.
  3. Step 2 asks for your card and shows an order summary with the item and price. Read it before you complete the order, so you know what you will pay after the trial.
  4. Tick the boxes. One of them says no subscription fee is charged today, and that the card on file will be charged when the trial expires unless you cancel.
  5. Join the bootcamp. The page says it is a live Zoom session at 11am Central time, up to an hour, and not recorded. Check the page for the next date.

That last point is worth taking seriously. A live walk-through in your first week saves hours of clicking around on your own.

The trial is free. The time you spend setting it up is not. Plan the time first.

Do you need a credit card for the GoHighLevel trial?

Yes. Every GoHighLevel trial form we checked asks for a card at the second step. The standard form says: "After the 14 Days You will be billed with the card on File." The bootcamp page says the same about its 30 days.

A few sites say you can start without a card. That did not match any GoHighLevel page we checked on 27 September 2026. If a page promises no card, check where it sends you.

Is the GoHighLevel free trial really free?

The subscription is. The usage is not.

The bootcamp page says you "will not be charged the subscription cost" during the trial, but that "communication surcharges may apply". The pricing page says usage fees for phone and other services may apply during any trial. In plain words, anything you send or buy through the platform costs money from day one:

Charged during the trialPrice (US)
Local phone number$1.15 a month
Each text, sent or received$0.00747 per segment, plus a carrier fee on texts you send
Email$0.675 per 1,000
Text registration (A2P 10DLC)$22.50 one-time for most small businesses, plus a monthly fee
AIPay per use, or a $50 or $97 monthly AI plan

Prices from GoHighLevel's phone system pricing guide and A2P 10DLC fees page, both modified 24 September 2026. These charges come out of a wallet on your account that tops itself up from your card, so you may see a small charge early on even before the trial ends. That is the wallet, not the subscription.

For a normal test, the usage bill is small. A number, the text registration and a few hundred texts come to under $40 on the rates above. We break down a full month in our GoHighLevel pricing guide.

What happens when the trial ends?

You are billed automatically. The pricing page says billing "begins automatically at the end of any free trial unless canceled". The terms of service (updated June 2026) say your subscription renews and your card is charged at the current rate without asking you again.

On the standard trial, you chose the plan at the start. Starter is $97 a month, Unlimited $297 and Agency Pro $497. The bootcamp page does not name the plan up front, so check the order summary at the card step and note what it says before you complete the order.

And put the end date in your calendar the day you sign up. GoHighLevel's terms say all fees are non-refundable, and that no refunds are given if you fail to cancel properly.

How to cancel your GoHighLevel trial

These steps are from GoHighLevel's help page on billing questions for agencies, modified 16 September 2026:

  1. Go to Agency Settings, then Billing.
  2. Click Want to modify/cancel your subscription?
  3. Click Show More in the pop-up, then Cancel Plan.
  4. Pick a reason and click Next.
  5. Read the data loss warning, then click I am sure I want to cancel.
  6. Write your feedback (it asks for at least 30 words) and click Submit.

Three things to check as you go:

  • Cancel the extras too. Downgrading does not cancel add-ons, marketplace apps or phone numbers. Remove them yourself.
  • Your data is kept for 90 days after you cancel, then it may be deleted. Export anything you want before then.
  • If you signed up through an agency, only that agency can cancel your account.

You can also cancel with a support ticket, or by phone on (888) 732-4197, per the terms.

Is there a 60-day GoHighLevel free trial?

No. We could not find a 60-day trial on any GoHighLevel page or help article. The longest is the 30 days you get through a special link like ours.

Some sites describe stacking trial extensions, or cancelling and signing up again with a new email. Do not do the second one. GoHighLevel's terms say trials "are not intended to be used consecutively", and that it can suspend or ban accounts doing back-to-back trials to avoid paying. You would lose everything you built.

How to get the most from your free trial

Thirty days sounds like a lot. It goes fast if you try to build everything. Build the one thing that would make you money first, then add to it. Here is the order we would use for a service business:

Day 1: start your text registration

Submit your A2P 10DLC registration on the first day. You need it approved before you can text US mobiles from a local number, and everything that texts depends on it, so get it moving first.

Days 2 to 3: contacts, number and calendar

Import a small batch of contacts, connect a phone number and set up one booking calendar with reminders. Book a test appointment on yourself.

Week 1: stop losing missed calls

Turn on missed call text back. It is the fastest win in the platform for anyone who takes calls. Our guide shows how to set up missed call text back step by step.

Week 2: one lead funnel and one workflow

Build one landing page with a form, and one workflow behind it: text the lead straight away, email them the next day, remind them to book. Our GoHighLevel workflows guide has ten you can copy.

Weeks 3 to 4: test it on real leads, then decide

Send real traffic through it, even a little. Then look at what came back. If leads got answered faster and more of them booked, keep it. If you did not have time to use it, cancel before the last day.

New accounts also start with a low daily email limit (250 on day one, rising over the first week, per GoHighLevel's LC Email help page). So test email with a small list first, not your whole database.

If you are still working out what GoHighLevel does, read what GoHighLevel is before you start. It will save you trial days.

Should you run the trial yourself?

If you like building things and have a few hours a week, yes. That is exactly who the trial is for.

If you do not, be honest about it. Here is the trap. You sign up, get busy, and the trial ends with nothing built. The software was never the problem. GoHighLevel is the tool. Someone still has to set it up, write the messages and run it. If you would rather hand that part to a team, see how Havstock Unlimited works.

FAQ

Does GoHighLevel have a free trial?

Yes. GoHighLevel offers a 14-day free trial on any plan on its own site, and a 30-day free trial with a live bootcamp through our special link. Both need a card. The subscription is free during the trial, but usage like texts, emails and phone numbers is charged.

How long is the GoHighLevel free trial?

The standard GoHighLevel free trial is 14 days. Through our special link it is 30 days, plus a free live bootcamp. There is no official 60-day trial on any GoHighLevel page we checked. When the trial ends, your card is charged for the plan unless you cancel before the end date.

Do I need a credit card for the GoHighLevel free trial?

Yes. Every GoHighLevel trial form we checked asks for a card at step two, and says the card on file will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel. Pages that promise a trial with no card did not match GoHighLevel's own forms when we checked.

Can I use GoHighLevel for free?

Only during the trial, and only the subscription is free. There is no free plan. Texts, calls, emails, phone numbers and text registration are charged from the first day. After the trial, plans start at $97 a month.

How do I cancel my GoHighLevel free trial?

Go to Agency Settings, then Billing, then "Want to modify/cancel your subscription?". Click Show More, then Cancel Plan, pick a reason, confirm the data loss warning and submit your feedback. Remove add-ons and phone numbers too. Do it before the trial ends, because fees are non-refundable.

Can I extend my GoHighLevel trial?

We found no GoHighLevel help page that offers a trial extension, so do not plan on one. The 30 days through our special link is the longest official option. Signing up again with a new email breaks GoHighLevel's terms, which say back-to-back trials can get your account suspended or banned.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

GoHighLevel keeps your account data for 90 days after you cancel, and then it may be deleted. Phone numbers are released within 14 days. If you might come back, export your contacts and anything else you want to keep before you cancel.

The GoHighLevel free trial is a fair test if you go in with a plan. Pick the 30 days, put the end date in your calendar, start your text registration on day one and build one thing that makes you money. Start your free trial of GoHighLevel here.
